A compact space calls for a practical yet streamlined cooking zone. This one has a hidden washing machine and white laminated birch plywood cabinetry with recessed pulls. At the opposite end of the living space is a storage unit that is one half utility (a pull out desk with storage for files and stationary) and one half personal (library, picture frames and accessories). Having the hidden desk allows the living zone to “turn more into a space where people can gather, hang out and converse”.
